My passion for accounting started in high school during a brief internship at a supermill's accounting department. Despite being offered a job immediately, my plans to travel to Japan delayed my entry into the field. That journey marked the beginning of my extensive career in accounting.
When I'm not immersed in financial spreadsheets, I enjoy traveling, boating, engaging in outdoor motorsports, and exploring sports cars. Together with my business partner, we focus on identifying new business opportunities, strategizing for growth, ensuring financial accuracy, and optimizing operational organization.

Vicki Sutherland, Founder of Canada Cloud Accounting
I started Canada Cloud Accounting in 2007, shortly after having my first child. I knew bookkeeping could be done remotely, and I saw a need among small to medium-sized businesses for the same services large businesses use, but without the need for a full-time bookkeeper. With 25 years of experience in the field, I run a tight set of books to ensure financial accuracy, help business owners achieve their goals, and work to reduce corporate income tax while growing cash flow and business assets.
My journey into bookkeeping began in high school during the course of my career. I spent two weeks in the accounting department at a supermarket, where I was offered a job on the spot. However, I had plans to travel to Japan for a month after high school to visit my billet exchange student, so I declined the immediate start date and went on my trip. The rest is history.
Outside work, I enjoy travelling, boating, outdoor motorsports, sports cars, and meeting new people. I work alone on bookkeeping, but my business partner and I collaborate on business opportunities, growth strategies, and operational organization.
